			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The term &#8220;aerobic&#8221; really means &#8220;requiring air,&#8221; or &#8220;requiring oxygen.&#8221; Therefore, the purpose of oxygen in aerobic respiration is quite critical in this kind of system. Without oxygen, the respiration process fails altogether. Not all organisms on this planet rely on it, though. Others survive in living conditions that have little or no oxygen molecules at all. Their mode of breathing is then known as anaerobic respiration, or that which is &#8220;not requiring air&#8221; or &#8220;not requiring oxygen.&#8221; Human beings, obviously rely greatly on aerobic respiration. But what exactly is the purpose of oxygen in it? For this we have to look into this process in a micro-cellular level.</p>
<p>For aerobic organisms like human beings, our cells need to convert biochemical energy from the nutrients that we consume. This process is actually quite complicated. But for the sake of simplification, let us just assume that: the nutrients are already digested, and floating in the blood stream. We will also assume that the cells have already absorbed what they need from the bloodstream through the simplest process of cell wall absorption (osmosis, for example.) However, our cells need to convert those nutrients into ATP or adenosine-5- triphosphate. ATP is a nucleotide that has many functions, but it is known primarily as the most basic molecular currency that is responsible for cell-to-cell energy transfer.<span id="more-3553"></span></p>
<p>ATP is known as molecular currency for the simple reason that this is the nucleotide that makes everything move. Without this molecular currency, there will be no intracellular transfer of chemical energy. And without this cellular level chemical energy transfer, then cells cannot break down the nutrients in food. Cells cannot transfer information through nerve endings and synapses. Cells cannot process or eliminate waste products. In short, ATP is the most basic &#8220;battery&#8221; of all aerobic organisms. Without the mandatory chemical energy transfer, cells begin to die quickly, and the organism begins to fade as more and more cells are lost.</p>
<p>Having established that, it is now easy to define the purpose of oxygen in aerobic respiration. Oxygen is the essential material &#8211; that required electron that triggers the ATP to release its stored chemical energy, transferring molecular currency to other cells while releasing waste products into the blood stream. Without oxygen, the ATP remains stagnant within the cells, which in turn literally &#8220;freezes&#8221; all other cellular activity. Additionally, if oxygen is not introduced in blood stream, the waste materials within begins to &#8220;poison&#8221; the ATP cells, further hampering its functions, and ultimately leading to cell demise.</p>
<p>For human beings, part of the respiration process includes the micro-cellular release of essential amino acids, fatty acids and glucose in the blood stream. Without these 3 primary components, internal organs (particularly the brain, which is heavily dependent on glucose supply) begin to shut down and die. As such, it only takes 5 minutes of oxygen deprivation before the brain starts to deteriorate. From then on, permanent and irreversible damage happens, even with the re-introduction of oxygen into the system.</p>

<p>First of all you must set a goal. Without any direction you might not be motivated to follow through or even complete a proper workout. Once you get into the habit it will get easier by the day. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many people wonder about the perfect exercise to lose fat. The truth is that there is none. There is no single exercise that will do miracles.</p>
<p>You must have a battery of exercises that work out your body and give you the results you have been waiting for. The great thing is that there are many exercises to choose from and they will do miracles not only for your body status but also for the mental health. You will get out of boredom and staleness. You will be energized and full of joy.</p>
<p>This article is about some of the best exercises to burn fat and also shape up your body. I will tell you about my favorite routines. If you do these exercises in a correct manner you will burn in half an hour the calories you would burn with one hour of jogging.<span id="more-2152"></span></p>
<p>I am referring to the Advanced Burpee. When you are doing this exercise the technique is extremely important. I will tell you how to do this exercise, step by step.</p>
<p>Here are the four basic steps of Advanced Burpee.</p>
<p>1. Put one shoulder down and stand on it. Then squat down and put the hands on the ground in front of the feet.<br />
2. After that you will have to kick back the feet and, at the same time, lower the chest to the ground.<br />
3. You will also have to push your chest away from the floor and thrusting your legs back up into the squat position. Keep the hands still on the floor.<br />
4. You will finish the exercise by jumping up in the air. When you are landing, simply drop back down into the squat position and repeat the exercise.</p>
<p>How many times you have to do that? There are many ways to integrate this exercise among others. You can set the stopwatch for five minutes. Then do as many Advanced Burpees as you can in that five minute period. Try to push yourself and do not be lazy. When the time period is over count how many reps you did. When you are repeating the exercise the next day, try to do one more rep than the day before and exceed your limits. When you will not be able to add any more reps it means you have to change the workout.</p>

Basically, when you talk about, this is supposed to be a low intensity, low impact, high endurance activity that would require the person to utilize oxygen over a period of time. Other people may define it as an endurance sport that would require continuous but low intensity movements over long distances. In any case, the bottom line here is that the person has to do a specific low impact pursuit or occupation in order to utilize and burn up a lot of oxygen. This is different from aerobic exercises, as we will explain later on.</p>
<p>If the term still sounds confusing, perhaps it would be best to define these activities by examples. Walking, more particularly, brisk walking for 10 minutes to 20 minutes on a level surface area can be considered as an aerobic activity. The body uses up a lot of oxygen during this time. Also, it helps burn up a fair amount of calories. However, this is a relatively low intensity, low impact workout, which does not strain a lot of muscles or joints. This is perfect for elderly people, those who are in physical rehabilitation programs, overweight or obese people and people who are only beginning their own exercise regimen. This type of activity can help promote the strengthening of the cardiovascular muscles or the muscles necessary for respiration, which includes the lungs and the heart.<span id="more-2180"></span></p>
<p>Slow cycling, slow jogging and even golf can also be considered both as aerobic activities and sports that cover longer distances, as compared to walking. In this regard though, cycling and jogging may be more efficient in keeping the heart rate up since golf often entails the person to stop and swing.</p>
<p>Dancing can also be a form of aerobic activities, but not all dances are relatively low impact. Ballroom dances like cha-cha, foxtrot, quickstep, rumba, samba, pasa doble and waltz can be low impact. However, dances like the tango, the jive and street dancing are relatively high intensity.</p>
<p>It should be noted though that aerobic activities should never replace aerobic exercises. The former is just a way of helping promoting health in between sessions of aerobic exercise. For example, a daily 15 minute walk can help keep the cardiovascular muscles working, but that should still be coupled with the bi-weekly trip to the gym or those or the weekend DVD workouts in front of the TV for more oxygen burning exercises.</p>
<p>Aerobic exercise, on the other hand, can be defined as a medium to difficult physical activity that is supposed to promote a more avid circulation of the blood in the body. This can be done by raising the heart beat level considerably through a series of exercises. These exercises are supposed to be maintained at a specific level for a specific amount of time in order to be successful. Examples of aerobic exercises range anywhere from: high intensity body sculpting exercises, to running 4 miles per day, to cycling up the mountain for 30 minutes or so, and even to swimming 50 laps or more.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Walking, jogging, bicycling, swimming and dancing are all examples of aerobic exercise which can improve endurance and burn calories. To be successful, aerobic activity should be done for an extended period of time at a slow to moderate pace. The secret is to get your heart rate up to a quick pace and then keep it there.</p>
<p>Whatever aerobic activity you choose it is important that you get your heart rate into the target zone for the duration of the activity. Target zones will vary depending on your age; for example, the target heart rate for a 35 year old is 93 to 138 beats per minute. It is important to keep the activity intense enough to be above 93 beats per minute but not too intense that your heart is beating over 138 times per minute. To calculate your heart rate take your pulse for a 15 second period and multiply the number of beats by 4. When you start your workout routine; aim for the lower number in your target range and then work your way up.<span id="more-2189"></span></p>
<p>The benefits of aerobic exercise have been well documented. It strengthens the heart and at the same time burns calories. The heart is a muscle and the more it is exercised the more efficient it becomes at pumping blood through the body supplying organs with vital oxygen. People who work out regularly will see their resting heart rate decline. The average persons heart rate at rest is between 60 and 80 but for someone who works out it could be below 50.</p>
<p>Aerobic exercise also works as a fat buster. While participating in aerobic activity you body is burning calories to sustain your performance. After 30 minutes of walking at a brisk pace you would have burned approximately 250 calories. There are also studies which suggest there is a long term fat burning effect which occurs from the boost that aerobic activity provides to your metabolism.</p>
<p>Veterans of aerobic exercise will also tell you that they get a mental lift from the activity.<br />
Recent research shows that exercise can help people suffering from depression and anxiety though scientists are not sure exactly how it does that. Some suggest that exercise can boost endorphin levels serving as a natural mood enhancer others say the exercise relieves muscle tension reducing stress.</p>
