Overcoming Panic Attacks and the False Wizard

Overcoming panic attacks is a critical quest of each person who suffers from this debilitating disorder. The sudden rapid heartbeat, difficult breathing, nausea, feelings of dread, even chest pains that resemble heart attacks…who would go through these terrifying episodes if they could prevent it? But the person sensing a panic attack coming on feels totally controlled by an unseen malevolent power.

Some therapies focus on conceptually recognizing that one’s fears are irrational, in a left brain kind of way. Unfortunately, tied to this approach is the value judgment that the person suffering is weak and is just not putting forth the needed effort to control their thought processes or emotions. Some very misguided therapists will even try to convince the sufferer that his or her symptoms aren’t even real!

However, the most insightful psychologists of today focus on the role of the subconscious mind in perceiving a threat when one does not actually exist. Our subconscious mind is a repository of all kinds of mysterious impulses and entrenched belief systems. It is loathe to allow the rational mind or the knowing heart to enter into its labyrinth of hidden secrets. Read more…

The OCD Cure: How to help yourself or a loved one control their OCD

It was about five years ago when my significant other began to express what I considered the most bizarre behavior. It started with flicking on and off the light switch. Before she would leave a room, she had to flick it off, and then on at least once. I would ask her why she was doing this and she’d just laugh and say something like, “I was just checking how bright the lights were in the corner.” And I didn’t really think much of it. At the time, I had no idea that the beginnings of this behavior would start my quest to find her an OCD cure, while simultaneously finding relief for my anxiety.

Not long after, she would start flicking the lights on and off more than once before she left or entered a room. She would flick them on and off in a quantity that was an even number(although it took me months to realize the significance of even numbers for her). Read more…

Anxiety Attacks Can Be Cured – A Simple Approach

Never lose belief that anxiety attacks can be cured and that you will be able to take back control of your life.

With all the alternative approaches that are available it is important that you identify a method of relief from anxiety attacks that is effective and works for you.

Personal experience tells me that it is important that you do not just accept that there is a problem and then do nothing to rectify it. On the contrary recognizing the problem and then being pro-active in seeking out a method that will ensure that your anxiety attacks can be cured is a significant move in overcoming the problem.

Please be aware that anxiety attacks are never the result of any physical changes in your body. They are brought on by your fears and those fears have taken control of your thought process.

It is important that you take back control of your thoughts in a positive manner. Taking control may seem like a ‘big mountain to climb’, but as long as you believe in your own mind that it can be done then you are well on the way to take back in control of your life.

EFT and the Amazing Disappearing Hives

As an EFT practitioner, I have many examples of how our mind can cause actual physical changes in our body. I have never seen a case more compelling, however, then an experience that I had myself.

I was scheduled to do a session with someone that I was a bit intimidated by. By the day before the session, I was full of anxiety about the session, although I really wasn’t at all sure what the reason was for all that anxiety.

I woke on the morning of the scheduled session and noticed some itching in the palms of my hands. The itching was only mildly annoying at first, and I didn’t pay much attention to it. As time went by, the itching became more annoying and more severe, until I finally turned up the lights to take a good look at my hands. I was horrified to see that both my hands were covered with big, red, incredibly itchy hives. There were so many hives that you could barely see any normal skin.

My first thought was that I had inadvertently touched something to which I was allergic. I started tapping immediately. Read more…

End Depression, Anxiety and Other Mood Disorders and Insomnia through Reiki, Visualization, Meditation, Spirituality and Positive Thinking

Depression, anxiety and other mood disorders are at epidemic levels in the United States. So is insomnia. The good news is that you can end the devastation of these illnesses when you heal and cleanse your energy healing. Through energy healing, you will ultimately improve your brain chemistry and achieve peace of mind and an internal sense of well being, joy and balance. If one’s energy body is not clean, intact and vibrant, no medicine will heal your depression, anxiety and other mood disorders or insomnia. It will stabilize your symptoms (and that is important), but it will not be enough to heal you. You must do the work with Reiki and energy healers to release stored negative energy from traumas and stress and become a positive thinker filled with peace and joy. You must do the work to learn to establish boundaries, build self love, self confidence and self esteem and stop generating negative energy through negative beliefs, thoughts, acts and speech. To be mentally and physically healthy, your aura, chakras and meridians must be free of negative energy. Chi energy (the energy of life) must flow freely through your energy body without blockage from negative energy. This takes work. This can only be achieved through a combination of Reiki and other types of energy healing and ongoing spirituality, positive thinking, positive beliefs, positive speech and positive acts, not intentionally harming or deceiving others. self-love and a positive mind-set. As a Reiki master and life coach, I have focused on healing depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and insomnia with energy healing and techniques designed to protect one’s energy body. These techniques include visualization, meditation, establishing and maintaining boundaries, handling stress factors in a positive way, avoiding negative and toxic people and mind control. These techniques enable people to be fully engaged in each precious moment of life with full presence, participation and joy. These techniques enable people to rid themselves of painful and negative memories and rid themselves of stored anger and hate. They teach people to consciously identify and stop negative thoughts and rid energy attachment to negative and toxic people. I have taught people how to generate high vibration positive energy through meditation and visualization techniques. This high vibration positive energy shakes off, burns off and repels low vibration negative energy. I have taught people how to establish reasonable boundaries and change their mindset from negative to positive. I the end, we all must love ourselves first and foremost. This requires us to make our own peace of mind, peace of spirit and joy for life our number one priority.

Mood disorders are a problem of brain chemistry. But the problem of brain chemistry is caused by energy starvation and blockage. Chi is not able to be freely drawn in and distributed through one’s energy body because it is blocked and drained by negative energy. A person’s energy body is drained and blocked by negative and toxic people and negative energy primarily generated from our own negative thoughts, acts and speech and our own negative and impulsive reaction to stress factors. Negative energy is also generated by a poor self image. Visualization and meditation techniques along with positive affirmations must be used to build up a person’s self-love, self confidence and self esteem. These techniques must also be used to rid oneself of guilt and shame. Everyone has an energy body and a physical body. Our energy body is invisible to most. It animates our physical body and gives our physical body life. Some call the energy body our spirit. Our energy body is attached to our physical body. It includes an aura that surrounds us and protects us from negative energy (negative energy is low vibration energy that is the primary cause of illness), as well as chakras (spinning energy axles with energy wheels on both ends that go through our energy bodies) and meridians (energy channels that are the energy equivalent to veins and arteries). A good mental and emotional state requires a clean, vibrant and healthy energy body, free of negative energy blockages and energy attachments. Good mental health requires the positive interaction of brain chemistry and life force energy. These energies must interact properly for a person to be balanced and free of depression, anxiety and other mood disorders and insomnia. What goes on in our minds not only reflects brain chemistry, it also reflects the health of our energy bodies and the ability of our energy bodies to easily and automatically draw in and distribute life force energy for our use and for our health. Relaxation for Anxiety: My favorite relaxation method for sufferers of anxiety

The most critical component of ending panic attacks and generalized anxiety disorder for good is learning how to properly relax. Lifetime sufferers of panic and anxiety who first attempt relaxation techniques often realize with astonishment that they never learned to relax properly.

In many ways, anxiety is much like a snowball effect, or a vicious circle when it comes to tension in the body. Anxiety will tighten the muscles, making the sufferer feel tight and rigid…and oftentimes the sufferer does not realize they feel so tense as they actually are. Tense muscles tend to trigger the subconscious mind that there is a logic behind the tenseness, so the body will release a dose of adrenaline through the fight or flight response, sometimes at only mild doses. This will only trigger more anxiety. It almost becomes a “chicken or egg” scenario…it becomes difficult to tell which came first, the tension or the anxiety. Read more…

Treating Anxiety Disorders – Simple, Yet Easy Treatments

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist for treating anxiety disorders. Here are some quick steps to help you step out of your anxiety disorder.

Can a Case Be Made For Linking ADHD and Anxiety?

While ADHD and anxiety are not the same condition could they be linked? Some experts believe the answer is yes.

According to the AMA ADHD is defined as a mental illness characterized by difficulty paying attention and a high degree of restlessness and impulsive behavior. Symptoms begin before the age of 7, cause problems in at least two different environments, and last for at least six months.

According to the AMA Anxiety is defined as a general feeling of uneasiness, dread, uncertainty, and fear in response to or in anticipation of a real or imagined threat.

While it might be difficult to draw a comparison between ADHD and anxiety by simply comparing definitions there are two areas where some correlations and associations can be drawn; biological causes and secondary symptoms.

Biology: Both ADHD and anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder both are believed to have a biological component involving imbalances of two or more brain chemical messengers (dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin). These brain chemicals, and the way they interact with each other, are responsible for self regulation and mood. Let’s take each one individually. Read more…
