Mean MSG

MSG, or mono sodium glutamate, is an artificial flavour enhancer found most familiarly in Chinese take outs. It is arguably an unnecessary addition to foods, particularly if fresh ingredients (which are generally fuller in flavour) are used and because of its ill effects on so many people. Even the smallest amount can provoke severs headaches. It seems to act as a vasodilator, which means it opens and closes the blood vessels in the head, and this is exactly what happens during a migraine.
