Prevent Obesity With One BMI Scale at a Time

Sadly, the world is reaching record breaking numbers compared to previous years in regards to obesity. We’ve all read the headlines of how obesity is on the rise. Along with the growing number of fast food chains, obesity in our society runs parallel with it. We still choose to ignore and fall for their discount advertisements for burgers and fries. Did you know that obesity is one of the major contributors leading to many other serious illnesses and diseases? Almost 30% of American adults are obese. That means 30% of Americans, right now, have a good chance of some sort of illness/disease infection. With that said, it is imperative to watch and take care of our own bodies. Diet Meal Plans – How to Get the Most Benefit Out of It

When a person wants to lose weight or gain a healthier lifestyle, one of the big challenges is food. Many people find that staying on a diet when they are in different environments throughout the day can be very difficult. When a person uses diet meal plans much of this challenge and difficulty can be alleviated in an easy way.

The opposite of this is deferred gratification. Where instant gratification is geared towards getting something as soon as possible, deferred gratification is the ability to wait patiently in order to get a greater reward. This is also known by more common terms such as will power and self control.

They were told that they could eat the marshmallow now, but if they waited for an unspecified amount of time, they would receive another marshmallow. Researchers later followed the progress of these children and discovered that, on average, those who waited to get another marshmallow had higher SAT scores. Read more…

Cheap Healthy Food Vs Fast Food

Cheap healthy food is available but requires planning, preparation, and time to cook.

Everyone wants to learn about healthy eating, especially to lose weight, but then refuse to make time to prepare the foods necessary to accomplish their goal. That’s a shame.

Eating healthy on a budget can be done but few folks have the time to devote specifically to buying and cooking cheap healthy food. Until you make time to transform inexpensive healthy recipes into sumptuous meals your eating habits will continue to revolve around unhealthy foods.

It’s Not Your Fault

You were taught to consume fast foods by your well-meaning parents. They were probably taught to eat these types of foods by their parents. It’s a sad legacy to pass from generation to generation. Read more…
