How to Sweat for a Body Cleanse
Whether or not you realize it, a Body Cleanse can be vastly improved by combining your detox methods with excercise or physical activity. The body has a number of ways that it deals with and eliminates toxins from your body. The typical body cleanse methods focus on diet, digestion, and colon cleansing which are all key components and very effective ones at that. But there is more.
The body has another key method for detoxifying itself: sweat. Your pores are designed to remove toxins and excess waster– particularly oils– from your bloodstream. Keeping a healthy regiment of sweating can vastly improve your detoxification.
A good body cleanse takes into account all the many facets of the body’s internal structures. The digestive tract needs to get a break now and then from processing so many unnatural foods and chemicals. It does this by sending them to the “processing center” in the liver and kidneys. The skin is similar. It needs to expel the oils, like those from sodas, through the pores.
Try to focus on keeping a quick jog in your daily routine. Or make a pit stop at the gym just to sit in the steam room for a while. Where added layers and stock up on deodorant– NOT anti-perspirant, which inhibits the pores from expelling the sweat. Read more…

Are We Really What We Eat?
According to a 2001-2006 government health survey of approximately 3,000 children who’d been given blood tests, at least 20% of children aged 1 to 11 don’t get enough vitamin D. That puts them at risk for weak bones, infections, diabetes and some cancers. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children have 400 units of vitamin D daily. Because many children don’t drink 4 cups of fortified milk a day or eat lots of fish or spend enough time outside to get vitamin d from the sun, vitamin D supplementation is recommended. It’s the D parents will want their children to get.
According to both nutritionists and scientists, Americans have a deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids. They are called essential fatty acids because they have to come from our diet – our bodies don’t make them. Omega-3 is necessary for the development of a healthy brain. It also lowers the risk of heart disease, arthritis and cancer. It even fights wrinkles. Fish like salmon, tuna and halibut are rich in omega-3 fatty acids because they eat microscopic, ocean plants and seaweed. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in the green leaves of plants. That they originate in fish is a fish story. Read more…

Biotin plays a significant part in the prevention of hair loss and most nutritionists agree that biotin is one of the most important vitamins for supporting hair growth. It is also advised to take it to supplement medical treatments such as the recently FDA approved Minoxidil.
Biotin helps the body use fats and carbohydrates effectively while building healthy nails, skin and hair.

How Stress Makes Women Fat (and How to Get Rid of Both!)
We’ve all seen those commercials on TV that warn of “stubborn belly fat” brought on by too much stress. The pills being hawked on these programs promise to block the stress hormone, cortisol.
Ever wonder if there’s any truth to what they’re saying?
The Truth
Cortisol is a corticosteroid hormone produced by the adrenal gland in your adrenal cortex. It’s your body’s modern-day answer to the “fight or flight” responses we had to stress (back when we were true hunters and gatherers).
Cortisol:
- Increases blood pressure and blood sugar
- Breaks down lipids and proteins (in case you’d rather ‘fight’ than ‘flight’)
- Acts as a water diuretic hormone (leading to dehydration)
- Physically eats away at the pleasure centers of the brain (producers of norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine)
So cortisol DOES exist and is indeed harmful to the body if left unchecked. Read more…
Your Hair Adds to Your Beauty
We all have a myth about hair fall, we think that the reason the hair falls is because they are weak, however, the reason why they fall is because the roots go weak. Our hairs are attached from the scalp with the help of the roots. So if you want that your hair fall should come to an end you should think about making the roots strong enough to hold them tight.
Your hair might fall due to a lot of reasons, tension, lack of nutrition; body illness can be a few of the reasons for the same. It is therefore important that you get in touch with a doctor to know the exact reason for the same. A little hair fall is all right but if you have any questions and think that its more than the usual it is important to take a second opinion.
However there are a few things that you can take care off from your end. The first and the most important thing that you will always have to keep in mind that your hair has a tendency to be weak from the roots when they are not dry, so avoid combing your hair when wet. Always use good quality of shampoos, conditioners and hair creams, otherwise if the product has strong chemicals it can adversely affect the roots of your hair. Oiling your hair in the right way will help you a great deal. Read more…

Where To Find The Best Sources Of Protein
If you tell someone to eat their vitamins, the first thing they think about is vegetables. If you tell me to take my proteins religiously, I get confused. This is because I’m usually torn in between the many types of proteins but my meal plan has become rally handy. To some people their idea of a high protein diet is one that has beef in every meal. Did you know that red meat is actually unhealthy if taken in excess? A bodybuilder should have a minimum of 5 meals every day; does it mean that some people actually eat red meat 5 times every day? Then it is no wonder you’re not so psyched up about proteins.
The advantage that protein has over the other macro nutrients is the fact that other than their role in pumping your muscles, they have a wide variety of sources. Not just any source, but really tasty, high quality sources. Read more…
