How to Sweat for a Body Cleanse

Whether or not you realize it, a Body Cleanse can be vastly improved by combining your detox methods with excercise or physical activity. The body has a number of ways that it deals with and eliminates toxins from your body. The typical body cleanse methods focus on diet, digestion, and colon cleansing which are all key components and very effective ones at that. But there is more.

The body has another key method for detoxifying itself: sweat. Your pores are designed to remove toxins and excess waster– particularly oils– from your bloodstream. Keeping a healthy regiment of sweating can vastly improve your detoxification.

A good body cleanse takes into account all the many facets of the body’s internal structures. The digestive tract needs to get a break now and then from processing so many unnatural foods and chemicals. It does this by sending them to the “processing center” in the liver and kidneys. The skin is similar. It needs to expel the oils, like those from sodas, through the pores.

Try to focus on keeping a quick jog in your daily routine. Or make a pit stop at the gym just to sit in the steam room for a while. Where added layers and stock up on deodorant– NOT anti-perspirant, which inhibits the pores from expelling the sweat. Read more…

Get Sweating to Beat Hypertension

The number of people with hypertension (high blood pressure) is high and getting higher. Your blood pressure gradually rises as you get older, so as we all live longer it is becoming more common.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms until you have a heart attack, stroke or perhaps develop kidney problems. Blood pressure is measured in by a cuff round your arm, wrist or finger and ideally is around 120/80. A measurement above 140/90 may need some form of treatment. As high blood pressure can be affected by a variety of different factors the best treatment may vary but for most people will include losing weight, exercising and maybe drugs from the doctor.

If you want to start exercising, it is a good idea to see your doctor first for a check up. Once you have got the all clear you can start.

It is a good idea to begin gently with aerobic exercise. That means activities that get you sweaty and breathing a bit harder such as walking, running, cycling or swimming. Aim to build up to half an hour 5 or 6 times a week Read more…

Dealing With Social Anxiety Disorders

Social anxiety disorder and shyness share plenty of characteristics. If you’ve spent most of your life thinking that you’re just shy, how do you know if what you have is something a whole lot more serious? Or, as a worried parent, how would you know if your child’s fear of strangers or his inability to make new friends at school is more than just shyness? At the same time, if you do find out that it’s more than just a case of shyness, how do you deal with it – with natural anxiety treatments or with medication?

You have all the reasons to ask questions and be worried. This is because social anxiety disorder , which is also know as SAD, is usually just dismissed as extreme shyness. Symptoms of this condition usually start at childhood, but plenty of those who have SAD don’t receive treatment for a long time.

SAD or Just Shy?
There are numerous symptoms that can distinguish SAD from shyness, and these include the person’s intensity of fear, his level of avoidance to the object and the impairment that the fear does to the person’s daily functioning.

For example, a shy person may be nervous when giving a speech. A person with SAD may worry about giving the speech for a long time before it happens. At the same time, he may also lose sleep because of his anxiety, and may experience intense symptoms such as shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sweating or shaking. Read more…

Best Cure For Panic Attacks

A panic attack is one of the worst experiences you can ever have. Panic attacks only last about 10 minutes but feel like an eternity. Symptoms of panic attacks include: difficulty breathing, pounding heart, intense feelings of terror, sensation of choking, dizziness, shaking, sweating, nausea, tingling, chills, hot flashes, and a fear that you are about to die. Not only are the symptoms of panic attacks terrifying, but the fear of having another one can be just as bad.

If you suffer from panic attacks and panic disorder, you’re not alone. Panic disorder affects about 2.4 million Americans. It is twice as common in women as in men and usually begins during late adolescence and early adulthood.

Panic disorder is diagnosed by a doctor or mental health professional through a long and strenuous process. If symptoms of panic disorder are present, the doctor will begin an evaluation by performing a complete medical history and physical exam. Although there are no laboratory tests to specifically diagnose panic disorder, the doctor may use various tests to look for physical illness as the cause of the symptoms.

If no physical illness is found, an individual may be referred to a psychiatrist or psychologist, mental health professionals who are specially trained to diagnose and treat mental illnesses. Psychiatrists and psychologists use specially designed interview and assessment tools to evaluate a person for panic disorder.

The doctor bases his or her diagnosis on reported intensity and duration of symptoms, including the frequency of panic attacks, and the doctors observation of the patients attitude and behavior. The doctor then determines if the symptoms and degree of dysfunction suggest panic disorder. Read more…
